I love cooking and keep on trying various recipes at home. I use the oven for baking cookies, snack items etc. I tried Cave Tools BBQ Oven gloves in my kitchen and tested these recently.

In the past, I have tried various oven mitts which were made of fabric and having pretty decorative patterns on them but none of them survived the heat of the oven. I used to replace the oven mitts every few months. Then I came to know about these Cave tools BBQ gloves which are not made of fabric and made from a lightweight flame retardant fiber coated in silicone.

As per the product description, these can be used for 662°F for Smoking, Grilling, Baking, or Cooking and Extended Cuffs Protect Your Forearms when Reaching into The Back of The Grill or Oven. I decided to give these a try. I was baking chickpeas patties in the oven and this was the perfect time to try.







I put these gloves and held the baking sheet; I didn't feel the heat for the first time when I held the tray. When I held the baking tray for a longer time then I started feeling the warmth. I am using these gloves in my kitchen not only for holding baking trays; I'm also using these as pot holders. Some of my pans are not having any handle sleeves and I use these gloves to hold those warm pans.
To be honest, I didn't try these on the flame to verify whether these are flame retardant or not. But, I liked the quality of the material used and these work perfectly for my oven and for holding hot pots and pans. I also liked the fact that these are machine washable.

Cave Tools BBQ Kabob Skewers Set review

It is a perfect summertime to barbeque and enjoy the weather. We have a newborn in our family so really couldn't go outside to barbeque. I came to know about Kabob Skewers set from Cave tools. I decided to use this to grill vegetables at our home using the oven.

This set came with 5 skewer stainless steel sticks with a rack. These sticks fit nicely on the rack. With the rack, it is easier to grill vegetables as the sticks can be easily rotated at 360 degrees. I really like stainless steel sticks over wooden sticks as these can be reused and these don't require pre-soaking in the water like wooden skewers. I also prefer stainless steel sticks as these can be easily washed in the dishwasher. 

With a newborn in the house, it is very difficult to find time to cook. I always try quick recipes, grilling vegetables is an easier one. I decided to make Kabobs using some vegetables which I like; didn't follow any recipe.

I cut some veggies like pepper, onion, tomatoes, flower stalks and then mixed these with lots of olive oil, black pepper, and salt and then mixed these in a bowl. 

Then I put all these pieces carefully on the sticks, adjusted these on the rack and then preheated oven to 400 degrees and kept this Kabob set in the oven. I grilled these for 10-15 minutes, in between I rotated the sticks to grill evenly on all sides. Everyone in my family really loved these grilled Kabobs. Peppers tasted best out of all the veggies. We loved the crispiness of veggies. Next time I will try other veggies like Zucchini, squash, and corn and try something new.

In a nutshell, everyone in my family loved the quality and taste of these grilled veggies. We are excited to try it again next weekend and will try it for our next barbeque party when we can take our baby outside. I would definitely recommend this Kabob Set for people who love doing barbeques or like grilled veggies.

Cave Tools 17" Stainless Steel BBQ Skewers review

Finally, the weather is getting better, I'm desperately waiting for hot summer days so we can start barbeque. I have done all preparations in advance; I came to know about 17" Stainless steel BBQ skewers for making kebabs and decided to try these.

I don't have any personal grill and couldn't use these skewers on the grill outside; I decided to try these using oven. Cave Tools deals with all products related to barbeque and this skewers pack is one of their product. The package consisted of 10 skewers and these are made of heavy-duty stainless steel. I liked stainless steel over wooden skewers, first these look nice; secondly, you don't have to soak these in the water like wooden skewers before use.


Everyone loves grilled veggies in my family. I decided to make some Vegetable Kebabs using these. As I decided at the last minute I was running short of some veggies like Zucchini and Squash. I just decided to make the Kebabs using whatever I could find in my fridge.  I got some tomatoes, red peppers, onion and flower stalks and cut these into small square pieces. I didn't follow any specific recipe, just used whatever vegetables I had and we can grill. Then I tossed these veggies with lots of olive oil, black pepper, and some salt. I separated onion while tossing these to keep onion slices intact.

Then I put all these pieces carefully on the skewers and then preheated oven to 400 degrees and kept these skewers over a vegetable basket. I grilled these for 10-15 minutes, in between I flipped these to grill evenly on all sides.

The final outcome was really nice kebabs. All veggies were nicely and evenly grilled with a nice texture. There was a crispness in the veggies and these tasted very good. Plus, these looked very nice on the skewers. Skewers have a ring which is used to easily slide all veggies on the plate.

Overall, I really enjoyed using these skewers to make my vegetable kebabs. I'm planning to buy lots of vegetables and make these kebabs again next weekend as well. I'll also try these while doing the next barbeque when the weather is supportive.

Cave Tools Salad Spinner Review

My husband really loves smoothies and salads and he encouraged me to drink healthy smoothies as well. When we first started our smoothie routine, lots of veggies and fruits used to waste. We buy strawberries, blueberries etc. in bulk quantities and berries used to spoil after a few days. Then we thought about freezing extra berries. This really helped in eliminating the wastage and keeping veggies fresh.

I was not having any salad spinner before and used to wash the veggies in a normal basket. This had no issues but while storing in the fridge, as the veggies were not completely dry so water used to stick as ice on my veggies. I wanted dry veggies and fruits only and I didn't have time to dry veggies using the paper towel after each wash. Also, when I roasted veggies in the oven then also I had to dry veggies first after washing for crispy veggies. This activity was really time taking and I was looking for some better solution. With each problem, there is a solution and I thought about trying a salad spinner.

I tried salad spinner for the first time for washing my veggies and fruits. This salad spinner has good enough size and I can easily put all strawberries in one round in the spinner and then add some water and then spin easily. This removes every drop of water. Believe me, this is like drying veggies using a paper towel. I used it for washing salads also like spinach etc. I used it to washing tomatoes, berries, carrots and possibly everything in my kitchen which needs a wash before cooking.

This salad spinner is of good quality material, I normally wash it with water after use. First time before use I washed its parts in my dishwasher in the top section. This salad spinner really eased my life, now I can freeze washed veggies and also roast these in the oven in quick time without any hassle of drying these veggies first. If you can see my picture here, this water came from the spinner when I put hand washed veggies inside the spinner and tried spinning to see if it can extract last drops of water. I was amazed to see how effectively it worked. I couldn't resist capturing this picture. Also, this is BPA free and can be used directly as a serving bowl as well.

I've been using this salad spinner for a month now and impressed with its utility and quality. Earlier I used to think it as an unnecessary gadget in the kitchen but now I would recommend a salad spinner for everyone who loves dry veggies and fruits.

Kinzd's Accordion Wallet Leather Card Wallet for Women Review

To be honest, I'm very bad in managing tons of access cards, credit cards, and debit cards. I have a phone cover wallet for my iPhone and normally love putting a credit card and identity card in that. But, this is always not sufficient. For example, I went to the library to pick a book and I was not carrying my library card. I don't like carrying my purse or bag all the time and was looking for a small wallet. 

I came to know about leather wallets from Kinzd and decided to give it a try. I placed the order on the Kinzd site, it took a couple of days and finally I received the black leather wallet which I ordered.

I liked the wallet when I first took it in my hands. Just read a book on tidying and decluttering life "The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up". In the book, the author says if something on touch gives you joy then keep it else discard it. I'm not kidding but I really felt joy when I took this wallet in my hands. This wallet is very light in weight, very decent looking and not at all bright or faux leather type. This wallet has around 9-10 folds, I put my library card, credit cards, debit cards, train pass, access cards, health care cards etc.  It has an ID window which has transparent cover and can be used to keep Id card like vehicle license, state card etc. It has a slot for keeping cash also.

This wallet has RFID blocking feature too. These days information is not at all safe and anyone can hack your identity and information. This feature helps in blocking your cards from scanners trying to scan your information and protects identity. I was not looking for this feature but I'm glad my wallet has this.

It has a metal zipper which works really swiftly. This wallet is very small in size, I normally carry it in my pocket or sometimes I also keep it in my handbag if I'm carrying any.

I'm using this wallet for more than 2 weeks now and really impressed with the quality. It has really eased my life and I am always ready with all my cards wherever I go. Also, I have tried keeping access cards on the front side and it works when I scan my access card.

In a nutshell, this wallet is great. This item took some time in shipping, if shipping can be expedited for this then it will be very good. Smart Turn ON /OFF Snooze Digital Alarm Clock Review

I hate the continuous noise of wall clock in the night. Not sure about you, but sometimes I get annoyed with the tick-tick sound of the clock. When it happens I just take the battery from the clock and then go to sleep. 

A few months back I decided to hang wall clock only in living room and replace my bedroom's wall clock with a digital one. I recently tried a small digital alarm clock from a brand named Ringring.

When I was ordering it on Amazon, I noticed colors like Orange, Green, Blue, Pink and White. Even though Green and Orange colors showed in the pic, these selections were not available on the Amazon. I selected in white color so it can match with my white themed bedroom furniture. Plus, white is neutral so I thought it is safe to get it.This digital clock came well on time. It is a very small and light weight alarm clock. It is about the size of the palm of the hand. I found it pretty easy to setup. This didn't come with batteries, luckily I was having some spare 2A batteries and it started working. There are setting buttons at the back side of this clock where you can easily set time and alarm time. 

I liked the design of this clock as it has very different on/off feature. There are two sides with ON and OFF. With ON side on the top, this shows alarm set, alarm icon can be seen on the clock panel. With OFF side on the top, alarm disappears from the panel and you don't have to manually turn off the alarm. Isn't it a nice and cool feature?

For suppressing there is a Snooze button on ON side and then there is a light button which turns on its glow light. It glows in dark.

I liked the design, small size and ON/OFF features of this clock. It is a nice addition to my room and serving its purpose well.

Only suggestion is to allow more colors selection in a relatively easy manner on the websites. This is available on Amazon and costs $23.50 currently.

Cave Tools Vegetable Grill Basket Review

Memorial Day is almost here. I spend time with my family on Memorial Day weekend. Luckily the weather is pretty good these days, I'm planning to barbecue this weekend.

I don't have any personal grill at the house and mostly do grilling in parks or outdoor areas. I always hesitate to put my vegetables over grill directly due to hygiene reasons. Recently I came to know about Vegetables Grill Basket which can be used directly over the grill for cooking vegetables and other stuff like shrimp. You can just cut vegetables as you like and then put veggies in this basket and put it on the grill. That's it. Sound easy, right? Yes, it is.

I love grilled vegetables and this time I chose sweet potato, zucchini, peppers and some carrots. I just cut these veggies, sprinkled some salt and black pepper and toasted well with olive oil. After mixing these well just added these to the basket and then started grilling.

I found this basket very convenient to use, this saved any accidental fall of veggies from the grill gates. Plus, there was no mess. I am super relieved now that my veggies are not touching dirty grill directly. This basket is little heavy, very solid and durable. It has nice handles to hold it easily. I used oven mitts for holding the basket when it was hot. This is easy to clean, I normally keep it in the dishwasher for cleaning. I found another use for this basket and also use it for roasting in the oven and it works well.

I liked the taste of grilled vegetables, my veggies were grilled properly as I wanted. In a nutshell, I really liked this Vegetables Grill basket and will be using it every time when I will be doing barbecues.

Almondina Toastees Review

It's been almost four years since I first tried Almondina Cookies. If you don't know about Almondina or never heard about it, let me tell you that you are missing something. I tried Almondina cookies/biscuits 4 years back and since then I am a big fan of this brand. 

I had no idea that Almondina has launched a new snack item named Almondina Toastees. I decided to try these 'Toastees'.You must be thinking what are Toastees. These snacks are well toasted and crunchy that their name Toastees suits these very well.

These Almondina Toastees come in four different flavors. I tried three of the flavors. These snacks come in 5.25 oz (149 gm) size bag. I liked that these Toastees are bite-sized and very well toasted. After opening a packet, it is really hard to resist or just eat 3-4 toastees. I like these with tea and coffee. These are dry in texture and not full of butter or fats. 

I liked Coconut Orange flavor Toastees the most. With each bite, I could feel a hint of oranges and coconut. On top of that, each Toastee is loaded with roasted almonds. Just a wow feeling, whenever I take a bite, I savor it for a moment.

Another flavor which I liked is Sesame Almond. Again, with each bite, I felt perfect crunchiness, and these are loaded with roasted almonds with sesame. This goes perfectly with tea. 

If you like Cranberry flavor then you should also try Almondina Cranberry Almond Toastees. My husband liked these Cranberry flavored Toastees a lot, I liked these moderately.            

These are baked snacks, not fried in oil or loaded with butter. As per product description, each serving consists of 65 calories and 0% cholesterol.  I always keep an eye on the sugar content and this shows 7g of sugar per serving(23 gm).

Forpow UV Toilet Sterilizer Review

If you are reading this post, I'm pretty sure you hate bacteria and germs and want to kill all bacteria possibly from everywhere. Believe it or not, these invisible germs are everywhere. I've seen people sneezing and covering with their hands and then using same germs filled hands to open doors and hold things. If you have ever taken trains or public transport then you might have experienced such things as well.

Restaurant, public washrooms, public places, no place is germ-free. Do you think your home is germ-free? I clean my bathrooms once a week with disinfectants and toilet cleaners. I don't face any odor issues and bathroom looks pretty clean after routine cleanup. But, is it really germ-free?

I always thought that my routine cleaning keeps my bathroom germs-free. I had no idea that technology is so advanced, that these days we have sterilizers available in the market to ensure that we can kill any bacteria and germs sticking in out toilet bowl. My bathroom cleaning supplies list was limited to toilet bowl cleaner, few cleaning sprays, and few disinfectants.

It's never too late. I came to know about some UV toilet sterilizer from a company named Forpow. As it was a new product, so I decided to give it a try. UV sterilizer kit consists of a sterilizer, charging cable and a wiping cloth. Installation was simple, it was done in less than 10 minutes. 

The concept behind this sterilizer is UV light. As per product description,  this sterilizer kills bacteria, germs, and mold by ultraviolet short waves.This sterilizer kit is attached to the toilet lid and then the lid is closed which kills bacteria present in the toilet bowl. Sterilizer automatically turns off after 6 minutes and this is the indicator that your toilet is sterilized now and ready to use.

As given in the installation guide, I wiped the toilet lid with alcohol cloth given, waited for 2 minutes, then removed 3M strips from the sterilizer and installed it on the lid. It has a button which can be turned on which turns UV light on. When you want to sterilize the pot then just turn off the lid and then wait for 6 minutes.

This sterilizer has a rechargeable battery inserted, it can be recharged with the given cable. There is a rotator kind of device, if you want to remove the device after use, you can easily remove it from the rotator strip by rotating.

I used it 2-3 times for sanitizing the toilet bowl for my bathroom. As germs and bacterias are not visible to naked eyes, it is hard to say how many germs and bacteria this device killed. I liked the concept of UV lights behind this product and think there is no harm using this product in sanitizing toilet bowls in addition to regular toilet cleaners and disinfectants. This gives me some mental peace that I have done something additional and best available in the market to ensure cleanliness and better health for my family.


Long story short, I'm glad that I tried this new product. Only suggestion is to make this sterilizer completely portable so it can be used in multiple bathrooms of the house. This has 3M adhesives on the rotator which makes it specific to be used on one toilet seat/bowl. If there is an option to buy additional 3M adhesive rotator strips then it can be used for additional bathrooms.

Forpow Bed Light Strip Light Kit Dual Motion Sensor Activated Review

Normally what we do when we wake up in the night for going to the bathroom or we get some phone call. Our first action is to turn on the lights. We just blindly move our hands towards the light on our nightstand and sometimes that results in dropping of the book which is lying on it or spilling of water.

I am so excited that I no longer have to blindly search any light switches in the night as I now have a new cool product setup in my room which automatically turns on based on my motion. Sounds interesting, right? Yes, it is.

Let me introduce you to this cool product, I recently set up a LED light Kit which is having motion sensors from Forpow in my bedroom. This kit comes with 2 motion sensors, 2 LED lights strips, and few other accessories. 

The idea behind this product is that sensors detect your motion which can be your movement in the room or even if you just move your arm in front of the detector. Let's say my room light is turned off and now at 3 AM I have to go to the bathroom.  Now, instead of finding light switches in the night and turning room light which can also wake up my hubby; this motion activated sensor will automatically turn LED lights on my side of the bed and I can just go and finish my business and then when I will be in bed then lights will automatically switch off. How cool is this?

I know, really cool and easy. 

 Kit has a pair of motion sensors and LED strips so both sides of bed can be covered and you and your partner both can control the movement of lights. I also liked the controlling switches which both sensors can be attached to, this gives me control to adjust the brightness of light.

This kit comes with various 3M hooks and LED strips with  3M adhesive layer too so you can easily stick it on the bed surface.  I liked the fact that LED strips are pretty good in length, good enough to cover the whole bedside lengthwise.

Regarding setup and installation, when I opened the kit it sounded little complex as there were so many pieces and it sounded like a Jigsaw puzzle. But, then when I started the setup looking at the installation manual, it was not that difficult. When you setup this, first try a test connection before fixing the strips and removing adhesive strips. This really simplifies the installation process, and you can adjust later as and when needed. Currently, I did a very different kind of setup by hanging LED lights on my bed headboards like some decorative lights and placed sensor in the middle. This works perfectly fine for me. You can play with LED strips and place light and sensors as you like. The suggested approach is to stick LED lights to the bed. Installation took around 15-20 mins. These LED light detectors work only in the dark so please make sure to test the setup by turning off your room lights. I did this mistake and realized when detector didn't work when I initially setup and then it worked when I switched off room lights. 

In a nutshell, I liked the concept and idea behind these motion activated bed lights. I am impressed with Forpow Bed Night Lights and would recommend these. Only suggestion is to make installation guide bit simpler, like the first step of changing detector time is very unclear.

 It was shipped from Amazon on time. It came in a plastic cover and not in some fancy box. I just pulled the plastic kind of lock from the button and watch started running. This watch fits my criteria and I will explain it how-

• Simple and decent watch. Something not to show off or you can flaunt in the rat race of brands.
• Very light weight. 
• Comfortable
• Easy to read. Round dial which shows numbers clearly. Not a watch with some complex design like train tracks ( seriously I have seen some very complex watches and I don't know how people watch time in such watches)

This is a unisex watch , my husband liked this watch and said it is a decent watch. It fits well on his wrist. This has a genuine leather strap in black color and white egg shell dial, it is neutral and goes with all my dresses. It fits on my wrist well and I have almost normal wrist size. This is water resistant as per company but I never reviewed this feature.
