I love trying different snacks and food items. This time I got a chance to review crispz and chips from Mediterranean Snacks.

I tried Veggie Medley Chips, Veggie Medley Straws, Original Multi Grain Chips,Hummuz Crispz and Lentil Crackers. I liked Original Multi Grain Chips the most.
Original Multi Grain Chips:
I really liked the flavor and taste of these chips. These are very crispy and yummy.Once I started eating these, it was very difficult to control. Multi Grain chips are made with 7 grams of whole grains per serving from corn, wheat, rice and oats. As per manufacturers, these chips have no  trans fat and contain 40% less fat than normal potato chips. These chips are very light and you can enjoy this snack guilt free.

Veggie Medley Chips and Veggie Medley Straws:
I liked the taste of these Veggie Medley chips and straws. These are colorful and crispy snacks made with spinach, tomatoes and potatoes. I liked the taste and flavor. Only change I would like to see in these Veggie Medley line is use of less salt.

Hummuz Crispz and Lentil Crackers:
I enjoyed both these with some toppings. I added chopped onions,tomatoes, chillies and some salsa on top of these crispz. Roasted Red Pepper Hummuz Crispz are made with garbanzo beans. I can feel Hummuz taste in each crispz. As the name suggest, their Lentil crackers are made from lentils. These are rich in protein and also labeled as gluten free.

Overall I am satisfied with Mediterranean Snacks. I would love to try their another snacks as well. Many of their products are gluten free. Cost of one pack of chips is $2.99.You can buy these snacks in stores like Whole Foods, Giant. Check all stores here.

Almondina Cookies/Biscuits Review & Giveaway

I love trying new snacks and foods. This time I reviewed cookies named Almondina. I had seen Almondina cookies on internet, but never tasted it before.

I tried 6 flavors of these cookies.Photo shows only 5 flavors,there is a reason behind this. When I received the samples, these were looking so tempting, that I attacked on Sesame Almondina and finished that in some minutes. Then I realized that I had not taken pics :-)  

These cookies taste amazing. There are really no words to describe the taste. These are very thin, crunchy, very well baked and light. Almondina cookies are fully covered with almonds and raisins. I liked Original Almondina the most.These are so yummy that once you start eating, you can't stop yourself. I realized this only when I devoured one full packet :-). I liked that these cookies are very light and not full of butter.As per manufacturers, these cookies are all natural, have no cholesterol and no added fats or salts. 

I also liked Sesame flavor. It is quite different and I have never tasted sesame cookies before. It is perfect combination of sesame, almonds and raisins. My husband liked Cinnaroma and Gingerspice flavors very much. I am not a big fan of cherries. I usually don't like anything in cherry flavor be it cherry cola or cherry drinks or cherry chocolate. It is the reason I didn't like Chocolate Cherry flavor in Almondina.

We have already finished all these tasty cookies. I am planning to buy some Original and Sesame Almondina  Biscuit packets this weekend. I really loved Almondina cookies(Biscuits) and would recommend this to all who love cookies. It goes perfectly with tea and coffee and good for snacks time.

I enjoy trying different varieties of food products. I cook daily at home and always in search of new and healthy products.Recently I reviewed some Bella Sun Luci sun dried tomatoes product line from Mooney Farms. Their sun dried tomatoes are specially prepared with olive oil and lots of herbs. These come in various flavors for preparing different dishes.

(Note: Jars were kept in refrigerator, so olive oil is in frozen state. When kept at room temp. olive oil melts)

I really liked Sun Dried Tomato Pesto Sauce. This sauce can be used for making pasta , dips or spreads. I used it in home made pizza. This sauce is perfect blend of tomatoes, olive oil and pine nuts. It has strong flavor of garlic. I also tried Sun Dried Tomato halves and Julienne Cut having Italian herbs. These are like concentrated paste and very little amount is sufficient for making dishes. These are very easy to use. There is no mess, no preparation time. Just take the jar, use already prepared sauces and refrigerate remaining .

Other than ready to use sauces, their sun dried tomatoes come in pouches as well. Julienne Cut pouch has cut dried tomatoes. And Zesty Peppers one has dried tomatoes along with chillies.

I used Julienne Cut tomatoes for making my own recipe. I added these dried cut tomatoes in peas and added some spices. These pouches are very handy to use and saves a lot of time.

I liked the quality and flavor of Bella Sun Luci products.Bella Sun Luci products are not only delicious but healthy as well. As per manufacturers, these have no trans fat and because of olive oil, these are rich in omega 3. These are also labeled as Gluten free.Once opened these products need to be refrigerated. Each jar costs $4.99 and pouch costs $2.99.

Way Better Snacks- Sprouted Tortilla Chips Review & Giveaway

I am a big fan of chips. I love eating all kind of chips like potato chips, veggie chips, tortilla chips and more. I recently tried some Sprouted Tortilla Chips by Way Better Snacks. These tortilla chips come in 6 flavors.

What makes these chips Way Better?

Chips are mostly related with unhealthy and junk food. But, these tortilla chips are not only tasty but healthy too. These are sprouted with whole grains and seeds. These are crunchy and non-oily.  I liked Sweet Chili Tortilla chips the most.

Sweet Chilli flavor is mind blowing and too delicious. I couldn't resist and finished whole packet in a few minutes. I have never tasted such mouth watering tortilla chips before. Each variety is a unique combination of whole grains and seeds. Multi Grain flavor has Broccoli and Daikon Radish seeds. I ate these chips directly and with salsa as well. 

As per manufactures, these chips are certified Gluten Free, Non-GMO Project Verified, Kosher and Vegan. Each serving of these chips gives at least 17 grams of whole grains.

In a nutshell, I am not only satisfied but impressed with Way Better Snacks. I have already added Sweet Chilli Tortilla Chips to my shopping list for this week.

This drink is made by brewing oats and then flavoring with fruits. It is a healthy drink as it has oats. Oats contain a good amount of fiber and this drink makes taking daily fiber easy.I liked mango and peach flavor drinks a lot. These drinks are very good in taste and refreshing. Only change which I could suggest is to reduce some sugar content if it can be done. Although drinks have natural sweetness only, but I felt one or two flavors more sweet.

My Review:
I was mostly eating junk while traveling or between my meals . Another snack is blue in color and is made up of Bananas, Blackberries and Blueberries.  I am not a fan of berries, so my husband got a chance to review this snack. He liked the taste very much.

I recently reviewed some cake truffles from Flaky Baking Co.These are truffles having cake inside.They make handmade truffles in various flavors. I tried White Chocolate Mint, Vanilla Sprinkle, Vanilla Coconut and Chocolate Cherry truffles.

 
I liked Vanilla Coconut flavor the most. Upper layer of these cake truffles is hard and inside these are filled with soft and moist cake. It is like eating cake dipped in different flavors. White Chocolate mint is combo of chocolate cake and mint.  These are yummy and non-messy to eat.Only change which I can suggest is to make top layer a bit soft as well.

These truffles can make a perfect gift for any occasion. They are making some custom and special decorated cake truffles for Valentine's Day. It would be an awesome treat on Valentine's Day. You can impress your partner by gifting these yummy truffles.

Recently I reviewed some Granola samples from Nuts About Granola company.

Each granola flavor name is very unique like Lover's Combo, Off Road Edition, Plain Jane and College Staple. Creativity can be seen not only in names, but also in granola mixes.

I like trail mix, so tried Off Road Edition first.See how it looks.

This granola mix has chocolate chips,whole oats, peanut butter, peanuts,dried cranberries etc. I have read about Granola and it comes under Healthy Snacks Category.I munched it as such, but it can also be taken with yogurt in morning breakfast. Lover's Combo is combo of peanut butter and chocolate chips.

This granola mix stays fresh for up to 4 months in a cool, dry climate. I liked Nuts About Granola Mixes.
 
I have only one suggestion from my side.I don't know if it is possible to make granola mix without peanut butter. But if it is possible, then some samples can be tried without peanut butter as well. I have seen that some people don't like smell and taste of peanut butter. This will give them a chance to taste healthy granola as well.

I recently tried Chickpeas Snacks, Simmer Sauces and Vegetable Broth from Saffron Road. 

Simmer Sauces:
I am not a big fan of frozen food and cook daily at home. Sometimes, I am too tired after whole day's work, that I have very little energy left for cooking meals. For those days, easy to use Simmer Sauce is a good option for preparing meals in minutes.Simmer Sauce comes in 4 flavors.

Rogan Josh and Tikka Masala  Simmer sauces come under Indian Cuisine. I love Indian food and was excited to try these 2 products. 

I don't know the actual recipe for preparing Rogan Josh. I am vegetarian, I prepared it with lots of vegetables like green pepper, tomatoes, beans, onions etc. I first cut and stir fried all these veggies and then put half packet of simmer sauce on top of that. 

Indian food is famous for spices, shades and hot flavors. Rogan Josh simmer sauce is having lots of spices. I usually eat hot and spicy food, so it was quite normal for me. But, if you can't take that hot products, then you have to add a very little amount of sauce to your food. 

This sauce added very unique taste to normal veggies and was good change from daily routine.

For preparing Tikka Masala, I bought Paneer(cheese cubes) from Indian Store. Then I cut that in little cubes and after frying it I added this simmer sauce. It tasted nice.

Other simmer sauces which I got were Moroccan Tagine and LemonGrass Brazil. I don't know how to prepare Moroccan and Thai dishes, so I haven't used these 2 sauces yet.

Overall, I liked the concept of simmer sauces. With these, you can make tasty meals in less time and with more convenience.

Chickpeas Snacks:

I tried three flavors of crunchy chickpeas snacks. Bombay Spice, Falafel and Wasabi.

If you like hot, spicy chickpeas then you would love to try this snack. Level of hotness varies in all flavors and packets are marked with it. Picture here shows Bombay Spice Chickpeas.
I can feel garlic, chillies, crunchiness and hotness in each chickpea.I liked these snacks.

Classic Culinary Vegetable Broth:

I prepared Vegetable Mushroom Soup using Classic Culinary Vegetable Broth.Soup tasted good.I am not an experienced person in matter of soups, so I can't tell what difference I felt in Saffron Road Broth.
You have to use opened broth within 7 days.

Mrs. Renfro's Salsa,Pickles and Relish Review & Giveaway

My Review:
I cook daily at home and I am always in search of new products to change our taste. Recently I tried some different kind of food products in my kitchen.I tried salsa, pickles and relish from a company known as Mrs. Renfro's.

Hot Salsa:
Mrs. Renfro's has wide variety of salsas. These range from mild salsa to hot salsa. I tried Hot Salsa with chips and with crispy Bread Rolls. Salsa really complemented my bread rolls. It gave a tangy and hot touch. 

Jalapeno Peppers:
I tried Nacho sliced peppers and Sweet & Hot Jalapeno Peppers.  I added them in sandwiches. 

Nacho Sliced Jalapeno is normal and its not too hot. Hot and sweet flavor is too hot. Once opened, these products should be refrigerated. Only change which I could suggest in these peppers is to add some onions slices along with pepper slices. I prepared one pepper pickle having onions at home and onion slices enhanced the flavor.

Green Tomato Pickle:
I had never tasted green tomatoes pickles before. I tried these in salads and sandwiches. Its mild and is not too hot. These pickles can be added in any salad for some tangy touch.
