Recently I reviewed some samples of skin care products from Annmarie.Samples were packaged beautifully in a golden coloured sack.These products have one thing in common i.e these are made from natural ingredients like clay, Aloe Vera etc.

Purifying Mud Mask:
This mud mask is made from clay and is very dark in color. I observed that it cleans skin very well. It also left my skin a bit dry and I had to apply some moisturizer after its usage.It is basically used for removing oil from face. 

Ayurvedic and Dead Sea Facial Scrub:
I used these scrubs many a times. Both of these have deep cleansing effect and scrub skin gently. When I first touched these, I was doubtful if these would be effective in scrubbing skin or not. As these are not having rough texture. But my assumption was wrong. These scrubs are very effective and skin becomes pretty smooth after usage of these.

Herbal and Anti-Aging Facial Oils:
These oils have to be applied on skin after cleansing the face.I liked the smell of facial oils. To be honest, this is the first time I used any kind of facial oils. So, I can't exactly compare the difference in skin with usage of these oils.

Aloe-herb and Citrus-Mint facial cleanser:
I really liked Aloe Herb Cleanser. Its main ingredient is Aloe Vera. Aloe Vera is very good for skin. It is very gentle and smooth for skin. It is completely natural and cleanses skin very well. Citrus-mint is very refreshing and it also cleans face nicely.

My skin is very sensitive to cosmetic products. If there are any harsh chemicals in skin care products , then instantly I get red bumps on my face. None of these products gave me any problem. These are natural and very smooth for my skin. I also liked the fact that these products have natural smell. In a nutshell, these are very pure and natural products.

Recently I reviewed some Granola samples from Nuts About Granola company.

Each granola flavor name is very unique like Lover's Combo, Off Road Edition, Plain Jane and College Staple. Creativity can be seen not only in names, but also in granola mixes.

I like trail mix, so tried Off Road Edition first.See how it looks.

This granola mix has chocolate chips,whole oats, peanut butter, peanuts,dried cranberries etc. I have read about Granola and it comes under Healthy Snacks Category.I munched it as such, but it can also be taken with yogurt in morning breakfast. Lover's Combo is combo of peanut butter and chocolate chips.

This granola mix stays fresh for up to 4 months in a cool, dry climate. I liked Nuts About Granola Mixes.
 
I have only one suggestion from my side.I don't know if it is possible to make granola mix without peanut butter. But if it is possible, then some samples can be tried without peanut butter as well. I have seen that some people don't like smell and taste of peanut butter. This will give them a chance to taste healthy granola as well.

Saffron Road Food Products Review and Giveaway

I recently tried Chickpeas Snacks, Simmer Sauces and Vegetable Broth from Saffron Road. 

Simmer Sauces:
I am not a big fan of frozen food and cook daily at home. Sometimes, I am too tired after whole day's work, that I have very little energy left for cooking meals. For those days, easy to use Simmer Sauce is a good option for preparing meals in minutes.Simmer Sauce comes in 4 flavors.

Rogan Josh and Tikka Masala  Simmer sauces come under Indian Cuisine. I love Indian food and was excited to try these 2 products. 

I don't know the actual recipe for preparing Rogan Josh. I am vegetarian, I prepared it with lots of vegetables like green pepper, tomatoes, beans, onions etc. I first cut and stir fried all these veggies and then put half packet of simmer sauce on top of that. 

Indian food is famous for spices, shades and hot flavors. Rogan Josh simmer sauce is having lots of spices. I usually eat hot and spicy food, so it was quite normal for me. But, if you can't take that hot products, then you have to add a very little amount of sauce to your food. 

This sauce added very unique taste to normal veggies and was good change from daily routine.

For preparing Tikka Masala, I bought Paneer(cheese cubes) from Indian Store. Then I cut that in little cubes and after frying it I added this simmer sauce. It tasted nice.

Other simmer sauces which I got were Moroccan Tagine and LemonGrass Brazil. I don't know how to prepare Moroccan and Thai dishes, so I haven't used these 2 sauces yet.

Overall, I liked the concept of simmer sauces. With these, you can make tasty meals in less time and with more convenience.

Chickpeas Snacks:

I tried three flavors of crunchy chickpeas snacks. Bombay Spice, Falafel and Wasabi.

If you like hot, spicy chickpeas then you would love to try this snack. Level of hotness varies in all flavors and packets are marked with it. Picture here shows Bombay Spice Chickpeas.
I can feel garlic, chillies, crunchiness and hotness in each chickpea.I liked these snacks.

Classic Culinary Vegetable Broth:

I prepared Vegetable Mushroom Soup using Classic Culinary Vegetable Broth.Soup tasted good.I am not an experienced person in matter of soups, so I can't tell what difference I felt in Saffron Road Broth.
You have to use opened broth within 7 days.

My Review:
I cook daily at home and I am always in search of new products to change our taste. Recently I tried some different kind of food products in my kitchen.I tried salsa, pickles and relish from a company known as Mrs. Renfro's.

Hot Salsa:
Mrs. Renfro's has wide variety of salsas. These range from mild salsa to hot salsa. I tried Hot Salsa with chips and with crispy Bread Rolls. Salsa really complemented my bread rolls. It gave a tangy and hot touch. 

Jalapeno Peppers:
I tried Nacho sliced peppers and Sweet & Hot Jalapeno Peppers.  I added them in sandwiches. 

Nacho Sliced Jalapeno is normal and its not too hot. Hot and sweet flavor is too hot. Once opened, these products should be refrigerated. Only change which I could suggest in these peppers is to add some onions slices along with pepper slices. I prepared one pepper pickle having onions at home and onion slices enhanced the flavor.

Green Tomato Pickle:
I had never tasted green tomatoes pickles before. I tried these in salads and sandwiches. Its mild and is not too hot. These pickles can be added in any salad for some tangy touch.

My Review:

I love trying different skincare products and was glad to review products from a company named L'uvalla. Winter season is really harsh for skin, cold winds and heating takes all moisture from skin. I have seen that skin especially face needs more care during winters than summers. And it becomes difficult if you have a tight schedule and no time for personal care.

I am using L'uvalla Balancing Day/Night cream since 2 weeks. It is for oily or combination skin.This cream should be applied after cleansing and toning. I am using it twice a day i.e in morning and before going to sleep. I observed that a little amount is sufficient for moisturizing whole face. It keeps face hydrated and scented for a long time.  It has Lotus Flower extract, Argan Kernel Oil, Lavender Oil and many other essential oils. Because of so many oils and flower extracts it has a very unique flowery scent which I really liked.

My face is responding well to this cream.  It makes my skin soft and smooth and also helped in reducing some acne on my face. My skin is very sensitive and if there are any harsh chemicals in cosmetics then I get little red bumps on skin. But, this cream never gave me any problems. It is is 100 % natural , certified organic product and Vegan-approved. It costs $48.99.

I also tried L'uvalla Hydrating Milk Cleanser. I have only one word for describing it, i.e. 'AWESOME'. I loved its scent so much, that I used to wash my face even before brushing my teeth :-)

Only problem which I found with L'uvalla products is that these are too much addictive. Once you start using them,its hard to live without them.My L'uvalla cleanser is finished, and I am missing it everyday in morning.

I love bakery products and was excited to review variety of Brownies/Blondies and Ginger Cookies from The Protein Bakery. Brownies and cookies were individually wrapped and were looking awesome. I couldn't wait and immediately ate some.

Brownies and Blondies:
These come in pocket size and bite size packs.These have about 100 calories per serving, so you can enjoy without any guilt. Each brownie was fresh and soft.I truly enjoyed these handy bites of brownies. These are perfect for any occasion.These last for one week or if you want to enjoy for up to 3 months then freeze these.

 

My favorite was Pumpkin Walnut Blondie. It looks and tastes awesome. Its perfect for any holiday season.

These brownies have eggs and dairy products. 

Cookies:
Each pack contains 2 cookies.These come in different flavors like ginger, pumpkin walnut chocolate chip etc. These cookies were perfectly baked and taste like fresh cookies straight from oven.

Frego Food Storage Container Review And Giveaway

My Review:
I recently got a chance to review food container named as Frego. When I saw its picture on website, I thought that its a normal container which can be used for heating and storing food. But I was wrong.Frego is more than a normal food container.

Why Frego is different from normal food containers?

1) Frego is Plastic Free: Its basically a glass bowl enclosed in Silicon Sleeve. It has benefits of both, glass makes it chemical free and silicon sleeve makes hot container easy to carry.

2) Frego is Easy to Use:
It can be used directly from fridge to microwave.It is dishwasher safe and you can also bake in it.

Earlier I was not careful in choosing containers. I recently came to know that some plastic containers contain BPA and are very harmful for health. So, we should use only BPA free containers. Frego is plastic free and BPA free.

I am using Frego for carrying my lunch. Frego's lid covers bowl and silicon sleeve very well and there are no chances of food spilling.

Its very easy to use, it can be placed directly in microwave. There is no need to remove silicon sleeve. But, you need to make a vent by opening or removing lid of container. Silicon sleeve saves hands from hot glass bowl.

You can also mention names on Frego containers with marker. Its easy to wipe names with wet cloth after use. 

This container can contain 2 cup/500 ml or 16.9 fl oz cup of food.Frego container is sufficient to carry lunch for one adult but it would be awesome if Frego can make capacity of bowl 1.5 times more.
